I would have ordered the H2C panels then. Lovely dark color ![]()
Edit: I see others already came up with the same idea ![]()

Good to know, thanks @philch
I went through Bambu wiki and it seemed a little bit complicated and time consuming but as you say it’s totally worth it for multicolor printing.
You might be able to sell whatever you have left from the upgrade and lower the cost but yeah, it’s not far off.
I looked at it, and my wife did as well. We both were more interested in the lighter color. I have 2 P1S that are dark, and what philch said is true, they’re more cave like and darker inside. The right H2C panel was also out of stock and it along with the H2D right panel would have been money wasted. I don’t like that big window and it would be facing a P1S making it moot.
The C does look cool though.
It’s really not that complicated, a little time consuming yes but nothing to worry about and at the end you know how it’s built ![]()
@IftiBashir put up a very nice video of his upgrade. Have a look, it follows the wiki but seeing it is even better
I was going to place the order too for the right hand side H2D panel but then realised I have a dangling skadis board covering that side… so maybe not worth it!
Definitely a matter of taste.
Asking because remarkably my panel arrived today. Where is the plug on the MC board for that wire. If I’m going to do this I’m going all the way.
Thanks
Will you be planning installing a laser? If not you dont need to connect them.
Number 15 is for top glass hall effect and number 16 is for front door. I can’t find one for side doors.
I could be wrong but side glass hall effect sensors might need to be connected here ![]()
Edit: that’s a AP board and got nothing to do with hall effect sensor except that a side door hall effect is hidden underneath it.
Thank you. All good now then
What am I missing in regards to the logo? Is it supposed to be just…there?
So in H2D and H2C there is a insert that deflects light from top LED lights, so the Bambu Lab logo is lit. I made it myself from old LCD panel. Theres a few layers behind the screen that I used. I’m pretty sure you can find it in most LED light too for examlpe thia one: slochi Bathroom Light, 3000K/4000K/6500K 3 Color Temperature, Waterproof IP54, Small, Round, Modern, Flush Ceiling Light for Bathroom, Kitchen, Bedroom, Hallway and More : Amazon.co.uk: Lighting
OK, I get it I think, guess it’s just a bit of reflective material.
Do you mind explaining how you put it in and where. I’ve just looked at it and the only opening I have (that I can see) is under the cover of the AP board. I feel like I’m missing something obvious but for the life of me I can’t figure it out.
I’m sorry to be such a PITA with it. I have a lot I can use to deflect any light, just not wrapping my head around it.
Edit: I can slide some foil tape behind the logo between the glass. while it does make the logo a bit easier to see, it doesn’t look anything more than a piece of lighter material behind a cutout.
Never mind. I think I’m misunderstanding, and it’s not that important. Thank you for your help.
Ugh I folded and just ordered for my h2s ![]()
And still have no idea what people are talking about regarding the solution for the side led ![]()
When you take your side panel off there will be a cut out in the middle. In H2D and H2C this cut out is occupied by a plastic that reflects or deflects (pardon my english) light from 2 top LED lights. That’s how the Bambu Lab logo on a side panel is lit.
Instead of the factory plastic that goes there (I cant find it anywhere for purchase) I have took a LCD panel apart and behind that panel there is few layers of the thin plastics that actually reflects the light and can be used as DIY solution.
Hope that helps ![]()
BTW, enjoy new look of your H2S ![]()
That makes so much sense. Thank you for that mate.
Just hope I make the most of it with the Skadis being in the way! Just fancied a bit more light on that side if you get me.
Totally with you on that one.
Nice setup by the way ![]()
I’m someone else but i did the upgrade from the D to the C aswell, i wrote up my experience on reddit not long after i did it

Cheers for that ![]()
Really appreciate it
Thanks for this picture. I thought I was perhaps imagining things that my H2D seemed to be way brighter inside before I replaced my panels with darker H2C’s. Your picture is worth a thousand words ![]()
