The a1 is apparently capable of calibrating and adjusting its flow dynamics automatically. Will the p1s ever be able to do this?
I don’t know how the P1S would be able to do this, since it does not have the Eddy-current sensor built in, that the A1 has. Or am I missing something?
I honestly have no idea. I kinda just made this post because i have no idea how any of this works.
If there’s no sensor to read the flow, there is no way the P1 can auto-calibrate in its current configuration.
Interesting. I kind of just assumed they found a way to calculate the flow without any sort of sensor.
The only thing the P1 head can do is to measure temperature and whether there is filament present or not (hall sensor). They also know at which speeds they extrude or retract, and have ways to measure vibrations, but that’s it. I wouldn’t be aware of a way to calculate/guesstimate the flow.
Until they come up with a new toolhead or P1 successor, our eyes will be the sensors that have to judge calibration prints for every filament configuration .
