We recently started using the Farm Manager at work, and did some initial testing with an A1 Mini printer that we already had at the office (before receiving our order of (6) H2D Pro machines).
That A1 Mini has a “Farm” icon on the printer screen that allows you to see the print jobs that had been queued up, and you can start one from there.
As far as I can see, there is no such icon or option anywhere in the H2D Pro interface. I’m surprised that this is available in the entry-level A1 Mini (with a tiny screen), and it’s not available with the H2D Pro. Is this something that could happen in the future? Or is it already there and I am just not seeing it?
I forgot to comment on this previously, but we created an expensive workaround for the missing Farm interface on the printers…
We installed touchscreen mini PCs at our 3 print stations that are always running the Farm Manager Client so new jobs can be initiated from the station. This is a rather expensive workaround for a simple missing feature on a high-end enterprise-grade printer.
Thanks for sharing all this feedback. This is definitely on our radar, and our team is actively looking into how to optimize and bring this feature over. While we can’t share a specific release date right now, we are working on it.
