Wish list for 2026 from Bambu

Things I would like to see from Bambu this year to catch up with the rest of the industry:

  1. Toolchanger similar design as INDX or Klitek where just the filament path is changed, ideally in 350mm+ size and with 6+ tools.
  2. AMS HT 2 with 110c temp.
  3. Bambu Studio with multi size nozzle slicing.

What about you? What would you like to see from them this year?

For me, your no. 3 would be my no. 1.

For the rare moments, I would need 110C for drying, I wouldn’t really need an AMS for that. Plenty alternatives.

What I’d really love - though I know this is totally crazy - is a P2mini with a built-in AMS for two spools.

…or does the wish have to be H2-related because it was posted in the H2 category? In that case, I’ll take the H2mini with integrated AMS for two spools.

It might sound crazy, but it would be great to have top quality even in a small space.

A reasonable workflow for using 85A TPU. I.e. not needing to treat it any different than PLA, ASA, etc… Bambu must have engineers that can come up with a workable filament path for this stuff that doesn’t require unplug-this, add-that, suspend-the-other-in-midair…

Allow the slicer to be able to move objects “up” instead of having to create a “dummy” object.

Its pretty straight forward with a splitter and mod and TPU feed assist module. Nothing to reconfigure.

  2. Spool RFID tags that are writable and not readonly encrypted
  3. Support for the OpenPrintTag initiative in the AMS

I like your number 3 option. I believe we could get that this year. If not most likely within the next 12 months.

Additionally, I would like to see some type of filament subscription that would guarantee access to Bambu filament.

Lastly, as for a tool changer, I think the vortex system is their solution. It most certainly is a more expandable system that could evolve into a compact and scalable design.

For that reason I think Bambu is actually ahead of traditional tool changers which are bulky and have limited expansion capabilities.

Simply put, tool changers will evolve into hot-end swapping machines because that’s the most practical evolution. It’s the best pathway forward.

Every one wants a tool changer but their not very practical if your running a print farm as they take up too much space and thus have limited scalability. Also, how many tool heads can you fit inside a printer with out it becoming too burdensome to manage.

Automation not robust tool changing systems are the way the industry is headed. Imagine a future in which one individual maintains a 10 printer farm that can out preform a 50 to 100 printer farm of today easily.

I think Bambu envisions that future all under one highly efficient eco system. That would be truly revolutionary and could shape the world of tomorrow.

With that in mind it could be that Bambu is building mostly for small and large business minded individuals not people printing for the bottom of the market. Namely, people who print flexible dragons and with stl files that they haven’t designed themselves.

You can build a highly efficient manufacturing cell with just the X2D and H series printers alone. I know because I have.

Their bringing easy scalable manufacturing ability to the whole world. Hobbyist are most likely not Bambu’s core target market.

I am very happy with my H2C but the big limiting factor is multi material with non-AMS filaments. That is the main reason I want an INDX/Klitek type system from Bambu.

Im a simple man.

I just want to see a feed motor for the external spool. With rfid.

I understand you and it’s up to Bambu to present a solution. I think they will. It just might take some time. Honestly, while Ams is a great solution it can benefit from some evolution. Hopefully Bambu is working on this as it is a key bottleneck of their system. Simply put it needs some improvement.

I would love to see a toolchanger and/or a speed increase in H2C when switching between nozzles.

Also the ability to print with 0.4, and 0.2 (or 0.6) at the same time.

Hey I got a simple one…… fix the issues with the H2D so when I run a 24 hr print I have confidence it will finish without so stupid error message. And when the machine breaks, and yes they all will, just get the parts out faster so we can enjoy the machine we spent dearly for….. Simple. My advice to Bambu is to fix the QC issues before going out and trying to beat some other company to the newest thing. Make a reliable printer period, and that can be done if they choose too.

If thats not reliable, I dont know what is.

Not to mention my 13k X1C and the 10k P1S(P)

And if i can chime in I have 22k+ hours between X1, P1p, P1s, H2D and H2C with no major problems, 4000+ on H2D and 2200+ on H2C now. I understand its frustrating to have problems but overall they are quite reliable.
