I do most printing on my A1 using the AMS. Sometimes I use the external spool and think my workflow is messed up on how I am switch this with the A1. In BS, I assign the object the colour of the external filament (shown in slot 5). Then go to the A1, remove one of the PTFE tubes from the head, insert the external filament PTFE tube, then use the A1 menu to load the new filament. Then, back in BS, slice, select Print Plate and uncheck use AMS. So the A1 was set to use the external filament, and BS says so too. However, the A1 seemed to go into a confused state and starts checking each AMS filament as if it were still loaded into the head, and kept trying to do this even though the new filament was loaded. After a power cycle, it worked (but I printed from the model now loaded in the A1 SD card vs re-printing from BS) What am I doing wrong? Can someone share their workflow? Thx.
