I got delivered 4 spools of transparent filament instead of the 3 colour spools I ordered, the heck am I meant to do now? I’ve already filed a support ticket but I’m so frustrated I can’t print anything
Edit: this was from Bambu labs directly
Obviously, none of us can help you, but, I feel your frustration.
For info only, did you order PETG HF and get PETG Transparent?
Yeah more or less, but I also ordered two spools of PLA and they all got replaced +1 with spools of transparent PVA. I was also wondering if the support is any good? I know some places have awful support but I mostly just want them to know and send a replacement soon, just because I’ve had months long email chains with places with bad support.
I do have some filament that I got since I got my printer before the filament was even dispatched but it’s so annoying to spend so much on an AMS and not even be able to use it for its intended purpose, guess I’ll just test out some paint pens for the time being? Sorry just wanting to vent my frustrations mostly, I know it’s not the place
Again. I can only commiserate with you, I feel your frustration.
It isn’t just the “I can’t play with it”, it is the “I paid for this I should be able to play with it”, plus, “this was a basic order, how could they mess it up!”
The only thing I can do is tell you the AMS is a game changer, if this is your first multi colour printer after having a single colour printer, you will love it when your able to.
I started with a single colour, then bought an IDEX (dual independent extruder, meant two colour from two different heads), then the A1 mini with AMS lite, the A1 with ANS lite and his four P1S printers with two AMS units each, fun times.
Having to go back to single colour would seem weird now.
I hope your filaments are sorted soon.
Think about the poor guy that ordered 4 spools of transparent filament and got delivered instead 3 colour spools…
Thanks, the frustration of paying for something and it just not being right is indescribable for me. This is actually my first printer ever, though, and the idea of changing filament manually sounded like a little bit of a pain but since realising that it’s pretty easy to change colours, I wasn’t too sure. I’ll take your word for it though! Regardless it’s a feat of engineering I’ve always been interested in as a child and I’m happy to be a part of the community now :]
Whoof yeah, I was wondering though, what the heck are you printing with so much transparent filament??? A greenhouse?? A lifesize ghost??
Just be positive about it. Now, with christmas coming, you can print those transparent gifts that no one will see
On a more serious note, i think that bambu will take care of it. Be positive and welcome to the hobby
Thanks :`) it’s hard to be positive around this kind of stuff for me because I’ve been the sucker in tons of customer service based situations like this (still mad about a ‘lifetime subscription’ I paid for that was only the lifetime of the company - one year >:( )
I’m secretly hoping I get to keep the filament though so when someone asks for nothing, I can print them a transparent present and say “there you go! It’s nothing!”
Just this right here made me laugh. Don’t worry. You’ll be able to print in no time. Good luck man and once again, welcome
Back in my day we had to do this with our own hands like beasts of burden, you young people (or newbies) don’t know how good you have it!
I’m definitely grateful to be able to afford it, it’s really quite nice to know I can go to college and come back to a fully made, multi colour print! You may have had the burden but you sure got some experience out of it, I’ve had quite a few hiccups already but no failed prints so far! You’re all very welcoming and knowledgeable, I’m really glad the community is so nice here
