I was upgrading my P1P and I realized that the MC heatsink for the P1P and P1S are different. I was worried that the horizontal heatsink would be better but I checked the wiki and the wiki said that they performed similarly. I am wondering if I should get the horizontal heatsink for P1S or keep the vertical heatsink from the P1P. I don’t want to get more than necessary.
Total surface area is what matters. The orientation shouldn’t unless there’s some air draft features. Does that fan push air in or draw air out? And where is the air supply coming from–Top, bottom or side?
At first glance, I’d prefer the horizontal.
