X1 Carbon dead!

It started by flashing the logo and screen going black, then the printer internal light turned on and stayed there, can’t recognize it from the network, no screen. The board with two red LEDs showed one on and the other flashing.
Contacted support, they told me to replace the “faulty” screen. Just got the screen and upon installing don’t even get the logo any more. Support has been slow and vague, sending me to look at wiki pages. Can anyone help please?

If it’s still in warranty period, you should push Bambu to replace the entire unit with a new one. Use every bit of leverage you can apply, to get that faulty unit replaced. Good luck. You gonna need it.

Is about 16 months old, unfortunately. Support is very slow and vague, hoping someone has had the same issue and help me diagnose.

If you live in the EU, the mandatory warranty period is 2 (two) years from the date when your printer was delivered to you (not the invoice date, unless the printer was delivered on the invoice date).

If you live elsewhere, well, then national law (if any) on warranty duration applies.

That’s a bit dramatic. These are 3D printers and literally ships of Theseus not John deer tractors. BBL support is likely trial and erroring the usual suspects first, and it might not get it right the first time since honestly the issue description is pretty vague as well. Stick with it and be patient, and be calm. Please for the love of your sanity don’t send back ALL CAPS or exclamation points in emails, give the human you’re interacting with the means to help you help your situation, and you’ll be back to printing.
At this point there’s several possibilities within the chain of functionality and they’re starting with the easiest to replace parts, eg the screen, next will likely be the AP board, and/or a ribbon cable between the screen and the ap board. The screen unit has a lot of functionally - it’s not just a dumb display. You should do an A/B test, reattach the old one and verify the same issue happens or not. The new part can also be defective. If you have a Microcenter near you - you can also buy the screen there and exchange it if the shipping is too slow for you.
After the AP board they’ll move to the main board or possibly PSU, which are not super difficult to replace but more expensive, so they’re doing the right thing starting with the easier cheaper parts. Stick with it.

I’m in the US. My concern is that what started as a small issue, has been going worse with every change.

Could I take it to Microcenter to be checked? Now I have an expensive new screen that still doesn’t work, and no way to test other parts. The printer powers, the board on the top side only shows the red LED nos, the flashing one is off.

I wouldn’t bank on microcenter being able to diagnose it unless you bought the printer there. But give them a call or stop by and ask, you never know, here’s the listing page for the screen - you can check stock online it looks like too.
They have a 30-day return policy for it as well, that’s great - some places have all sales are final for parts like this.

I ordered the screen from Bambu directly, it arrived and does not work at all. Both old and new now don’t work. Now what? Is frustrating, the printer does not respond to Studio, can’t be found on the network, and of course the screen can’t show logos or anything.
Bambu Support is yet to answer me, and I have a backlog of printouts.
