I have a new X1 Carbon and it is not uncommon for the touch screen to freeze after a print or two. The only way to revive it is to switch the printer off and on again. Also probably related sometimes the print icons disappear leaving a blank space, though it is still possible to print the file.
I’m not keen on having to contantly hit the power off switch as it cannot be doing any good. A rummage on Google has drawn a blank.
Odd problems. If you have an SD card inserted removed it as it might be causing the hang. Also a try a factory reset and see if either of those fix the problem.
I use a SD card for transfering files so I will try removing it. I am reluctant to do a factory reset just yet as the printer is only a week old and working for the most part.
With my Ender 3 S1 Pro the latest update has made the use of SD cards stop printing files altogether, only WIFI works. So theres a similarity.
I was same issue, were you able to fix it?
Thanks
I was sent a new display and now every thing is working perfectly. It took quite a while dealing with customer care but the problem was solved in the end. Good luck fixing yours
Thank you so much for responding!
Hi, when it was frozen, did everything else still work ? i mean if it was printing, did it keep printing ?
and were you able to connect to it through bambu handy ?
im having the same issue but the whole printer freezes completely
It was quite a while ago and my memory is not what it used to be. The printer itself did not it was just that I did not have a clue what was hapening without the display.
just adding here… same problem and @JonRaymond solution worked for me, removing the SD card unfroze the machine.
That solved my problem. Thanks a lot, JonRaymond! It was not only my printer screen freezing, but the head would make pauses as well, thus making printing quality a mess! I removed the SD card, and the printer is as good as new again.
Any ideas on how to make it work with an SD Card?
My problems were about a year ago which I only solved by getting Bambu to send me a replacement panel, everything was fine after that. At some point I might try updating the firmware on the old faulty panel and see if that makes a difference. It was a very frustrating and annoying problem, good luck sorting it
