X1 Carbon Printer Pre set error

Hello,

I am new to this and still trying to print my first part that is not pre-loaded in the machine. I brought in an STL file to Bambu studo, sliced it and everything seems to work well there. I chose to print the part and I get an error that “the selected printer is incompatible with the chosen printer presets”

looking at the dialog box I have selected my printer. Under the preview tab where it has the printer listed it says default printer. Having a hard time understanding what is wrong or what I have setup incorrectly. Any direction on what to look for here?

when I look under device in the software it shows my printer with the filaments loaded that matches what I actually have. assuming I do not have some type of setting correct.

Appreciate the help.

Be sure the dialog box you use to select your printer is the one on the Prepare tab:

It should not change to default or anything else when you slice and move to the Preview tab.

That’s where I think I am having trouble.

It does not show anything there. If I go in to add a device and select my model type it does not add anything.

But when I am on the device tab I can see my device.

Try adding another preset by checking the box for X1C with 0.6 nozzle before hitting Confirm.

If it doesn’t work, I would advise uninstalling the software and reinstalling it again.

By repeating the process with the additional know-how from this issue, I am sure you will succeed.

Thanks for the help! I ended up uninstalling the software and reinstalling and everything worked as it should.

I think this worked for me, the “printer incompatible” message disappeared, even though I selected the original Carbon 0.4 nozzle.
