Hello,
I have recently Purchased a P1S and would like to upgrade the stock nozzle wiper as in the month of hard printing i have owned it no longer cleans off the residue from the last print. I have a 3 pack of A1 nozzle wipers and i would like to put them on the print bed of the printer but I’m not sure how to change the g-code to use that wiper instaed of the stock one. Help would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.
I use this wiper instead of the stock one. It has saved me many times, keeping the nozzle clean and ensuring it performs its intended job perfectly.
I use the Sven Krause nozzle wiper with some extra Machine Start G-Code and some extra filament change G-Code to wipe three times instead of one.
The G-code is from here and it is two easy find and replaces.
Thanks, is this g-code for a custom wiper or the stock one?
could i for examle put the nozzle wiper on this bit
Hi, I have tried many of the DIY options out there for my P1S, some good, some not so good… all but one was better than stock… but this one has worked thee best for me so far:
This is one of the remixes of the Scrubbler from Adam L
and at the bottom of the description, it links to a small bit of start gcode you add in to give it a final clean before bed leveling.
This is the only one so far for me that has been nearly flawless and like I said, I have trialed many of them.
It just repeats the standard nozzle wipe three times instead of two.
This is a bad idea as the nozzle likes to hang around there with 0 Z clearance at the start of every print.
Thank you for the advise!
Recently got a P1S and I have been issues like residual color spots from previous print on my base layer. Is this bcoz the stock nozzle doesnt clean properly ?. I never had this issue with A1.
There might me still some little peices of fillement stuck to the nozzle that didnt get cleaned off by the wiper then when printing gets attached onto the print itself, however the printer doesnt know this so it carrys on printing, however it could also be that when purging not all of the preivious courour left the hotend, if you are using an ams try making you puge block bigger by adding some objects and set them to purge objects, however you may get some waky coulors
No, the initial nozzle wipe clears the nozzle from gross remains of filement and the area where you are pointing to is ment to clean the nozzle for the last tiny, super tiny little bit.
