X1C- back prime line printed just off the buildplate

Anyone know why this is happening?

Started just a few weeks ago. I do have the plate all the way back and this happens with every print. Could it be since a firmware upgrade?

Looks like a homing issue. The scratch of the nozzle is too far on the back of the plate as well. Check if there is something above the door that makes the printer think it bumped into the wall, even though it did not.

By scratch I mean that, should not be at the edge of the plate

Almost guarantee that this not a homing issue.

Check to see if your nozzle is bent. There are several threads with this exact problem and the nozzle was always bent. Your printer came with a spare nozzle that you can compare with.

Nozzles bend that easily or do they come bent from factory?

You’ve posted at least the third bent nozzle post here in about a week or two. I’ve been here about 10 months and don’t recall seeing this many and didn’t even know it could be a thing until recently. No idea why so many now.

But the constant offsets in some direction is the clue you have a bent nozzle. Might be something else but Jon knows his nozzles.

Nozzles normally bend because a part warps off of the bed and the nozzle hits it.

People with adhesion issues seem to be the ones that experience bent nozzle issues the most.

It looks bent! Not by much but backwards, the direction that would cause the problem. I persuaded it back a bit, seems straight now.

Just ran a print (or started one anyway). The back line is on the buildplate again, about 2mm from the edge to the centre of the line.

Thanks for the help
