X1C color print not working with AMS?

I can’t upload the file it’s to large. I’ve been trying to print this in color it’s marked AMS but all I get is one color? I’ve tried everything I can find. I have a X1C with a AMS . Am I missing something? It’s a 4 color print it puts a Purge tower on the plate but I only get a choice of one color. The reviews all say it’s a great print? I’ve done many of prints with color up until this one. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
The file is at Halloween cat at the window - Hueforge 4 color filament painting by Swiger3D - MakerWorld

You have a description of the colors split. Have you followed it yet?

There’s a process to be followed when printing hueforge and it involves a number of steps that one must abide by in order to get the desired result.
It looks to me that you’ve simply downloaded a hueforge file, put the filament colors in your AMS , then just sliced the file and hit ‘print’. Hueforge files don’t work this way.

I’m really confused I did one a week ago that was HF the AMS worked without any intervention? Guess there’s different ways files can be done. What got me was it’s shows the AMS in the file. I’ve printed others that said to switch manually but I didn’t have to for some reason?

Every hueforge comes with a, sometimes brief, sometimes longer, description of how and when the filaments must be swapped, as you will notice. Some hueforge files are more complex than the others. Don’t rush into complex hueforge files until you’ve mastered the basic hueforge print process.
Good luck.

I’ll add that some people put the splits in their file when they upload it. In those if you put the filament in order it will print correctly if you just slice it. Not all do that and @drakko nails it.

Easiest way to tell is slice it. If there are changes on the right hand slider than you’re good.
