X1C inadequate nozzle cleaning after pause

Enhancement suggestion for X1C: Quite often when I see a flaw in my print that I can fix (whisker, blob, etc…) I’ll pause the print and deal with it. After I release the pause the nozzle gets a quick 1-2 wipes on the PTFE flipper and then quickly resumes; many times these 1-2 wipes aren’t adequate to remove oozed filament from the nozzle. This inadequacy quite often creates a mess worse than what I was originally trying to clean up (spaghetti, blob, string, etc…) Maybe an enhancement would be to automatically purge a bit of filament and then wipe a few extra times before resuming the print.

I tip I’ve found helpful is to keep a set of fine tweezers next to the printer. Just before you resume the pause use the tweezers to grab any filament that has oozed out of the nozzle. Might be helpful in your case.

That is what I have to do. Would be nice if it was a bit more automatic to clean itself up.

In printer settings you can add additional gcode to run after the pause.

And here I thought few of us were that picky! But it sure can make a difference.

seems mine already had that setting
