You need:
1x X1E front LED - #FAZ012. *I believe the side LED is the same as the X1C side LED except it doesn’t have the wire holder. I didn’t compare.
Procedure: Follow Bambulab Wiki for removal of front Cover Panel to get access to Power Buttons. Remove Power Button PCB. Solder the JST connector to SYS LED. Install by putting the slots into the slot holes of the chassis then slide right to lock. Put everything back together
What you end up with is a fully OEM LED setup like the X1E. Still all controlled with the normal lighting function of the firmware.
I’m going to try it. I guess this LED connector is separate from the one that connects to the lateral LED. In that case, it not necessary to get the OEM part, perhaps using the BIQU Panda Lux will work.
Yea but who knows how many amps that really pulls. I would get an OEM x1c side led. Trim off the plastic wire hiding piece then use that. That way you know it’s drawing the same current it’s programmed to expect
I already soldered the JST connector and managed to get one OEM X1E front LED from https://www.congeriem.com/front-led-light-compatible-with-x1e.html. Still waiting for it to arrive though. Now thinking about the OEM internal chamber heater. It would be great upgrade! It would require one chamber heater and the control board. The only question besides de price, is how does it integrates to the firmware. Anyway, thanks for your MOD.
I’d bet you could instal the X1e firmware on the x1c. Might be risky but it’s software so should be able to restore it if it doesn’t work. Maybe try doing the manual instal via SD card. If it takes X1E firmware then all you gotta do is do the install then
I have the Biqu LED bar. It was easy to install and I have it running in conjunction with the stock light (even though Biqu advises not to.) It’s been working fine that way for months.
