Seriously Bambu Lab … the X1 internal LED strip is near useless.
Printing a light colour like white or beige … the print job can be seen … but not that well.
Printing in black and you’ve got no hope!! It just a black void.
I hope you fix this issue on the next machine.
its not so bright because it would interference with the camera that is built in the X1

My experience might be anecdotal but I simply slapped a super bright studio LED on top of the top glass plate and I have had exactly 0 issues regarding LiDAR or camera functionality.
Not the case.
Many people have installed much brighter lighting with no impact on functionality.

I’ve seen quite a few YouTubers add led strips to the printer, without camera issues.
I have a portable light that I use, when I need timelapse vids, also had no issues with the camera.
I would really like a mini LED spot light on the tool head pointed right on the nozzle tip to tell if any blobs are present.

It works great and I’ve had no problems with the camera, as it automatically sets the shutter speed, or the LIDAR. My prints have all come out great.
The recommended LEDs (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BCTDKV5K?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) cause flicker when not used at 100%, but 100% is where you’ll want them anyway!
How much height does this mod add to your printer? (My printer is in a cabinet, and I just have enough room to open my AMS, I’m curious how much room I’ll lose by doing this much needed mod lol

I understand where you are coming from but is this what has happened to you or is it just what you think theoretically would happen?
Why have none of the YouTubers or people on this forum mentioned this has happened to them, if this is the case?
You would need a light that had high intensity above 532nm. How would you measure the degrading effects of LiDAR as you increase the intensity across the spectrum? Someone would need to have some seriously expensive equipment and to do hours of testing to measure the effect on LiDAR to identify the peak interruptive frequency, and also measure how much intensity it required to subtly disrupt and utterly disrupt the LiDAR scan. It’s unlikely you’ll ever see a study like this but your best bet is to try to find a light whose spectrum is on the warmer end of the spectrum and potentially can avoid leaking light intensity above 532 nm. There are filters available that cut light above that spectrum, but it would be hard to cover an entire lightbulb. Maybe a filter could be designed for the LiDAR that performed a low pass, but as you have said, no one has mentioned this being a problem, it is only a theory that it could become a problem.

yes, but the studio light is not full spectrum
I made a point that Lidar interference would occur under a specific circumstance. We dont have enough evidence to prove that anyones lighting is interrupting lidar scanning. You should really take time to understand lidar before subjectively insulting people who are simply offering you advice based on their real world experiences in imaging sensors and spectral imaging. Im done here.
I don’t think that’s normal. Something is wrong. It wasn’t like this from the start. The light in the printer is on. It seems to be particularly dark this time. I sometimes get the impression that the brightness fluctuates during print jobs, sometimes brighter, sometimes darker.
I think this thing is slowly giving up the ghost.
