X1C make a pause at every layer since a few days

Hi everyone,

For some unknown reason, for the past 2/3 days, on every print I start (whether new or old projects, it’s the same) my Bambulab X1C stops at the end of each layer, for something like 5 to 10 seconds, which causes the filament to flow onto the part, which makes a sort of mess (especially when using Bambulab TPU for AMS).
The result is that this extra flow of filament dries and sticks to the part, so the head hits it and ends up taking off the part and crashing the print…
I don’t understand why my printer started doing this, I looked in the settings and I didn’t find anything special (and I didn’t change anything that could generate this).
I saw on a forum someone talking about a problem with video recording (well I use the same SD card, very fast, as before, it’s not full so in theory there would be no reason) so I tried to deactivate video recording and remove the SD card but same result.
If anyone has a tip I’m interested.
Thank you very much.

Welcome to the forum.

If you try printing one of the parts that is included on the X1 does it still have the pause? That will tell you if it is a hardware or slicing problem.

Slicing settings that can cause pauses at every layer

  • Smooth time-lapse
  • Minimum layer time

Well trying to answer to myself.
For an unknown reason, it seems that this occurs if you unselect several times the flow dynamics calibration.
I have reactivated it and the problem has gone
Very strange
