I have a model that I received in generic Gcode only. i.e. no stl avaialble, etc. What Gcode needs to be added to the beginning to do the standard X1C specific operations? i.e. nozzle cleaning, bed leveling, etc. to make it work?
Click on the pencil icon to the right of the printer preset. Make sure the Advanced toggle is on and then go to the Machine G-Code tab. Start and end G-code is shown there - copy and paste.
I would be very careful to run a Gcode-file sliced for a different printer. There are a bit more behind the slicing than only add the initial gcode for the machine.
True, but it seems to work OK. You do lose some features even if you copy the start code. Ideally the other slicer should support arc moves (G2/G3), and I suspect that AMS prints are not available.
I was thinking related to which type of filament was set for slicing, bed type, temp, etc…
I agree, pure movement commands should work fairly ok (if not set too slow) - but at least I would be cautionly looking on the startup temps etc.
I remember trying to print the presliced files from the memory in the X1C but on a textured plate instead of the cold plate.
