Hello
What is the x1c mtbf ( minimum time before fealure)
With standard usage ( no ludicrous or sports) and cleaning / oiling when needed
Thank you
Impossible to say. Mine has been fine for more than a year. Remember that when reading forums and other support groups that people are more likely to post when they have an issue.
And how many working hours after one year?
Mine is pretty new (175 hours)
Thank you
Probably around 700 hours - I’m not one of these people who run the printer continuously. The minor issues I’ve had so far (none since last January) have been covered by warranty and didn’t prevent me from printing.
Thank you.
For information, You can see the hour count in the printer screen
Determining MTBF requires a lot of very specific data and some statistical calculations. You can’t guesstimate it from a forum thread. People who aren’t experiencing failures tend not to post about problems. So there tends to be a lot more people complaining about failures in a forum than not. Judging failure rates based on this data will result in a negatively biased assessment. You don’t know how many users are out there with 1000s of accumulated hours of run time with no issues.
BBL does almost certainly know. They know how many printers they’ve sold and they know how much warranty coverage they’ve paid out. That data can be applied to something called a “Weibull” calculation to project failure rates out over time.
That’d be the only valid way to determine printer MTBF.
In fact the real question is : what is the lifetime of this kind of product.( Before changing bearing or motors)
1000h, 10000 h more…
