X1C-What size were those 3 heat bed anchor screws for transportation?
I get conflicting search results: either M3-20 or M3-23.
All of my loose screws are “conveniently sorted” in a large jar…

I don’t know what size they are but I could take a picture of the P1S ones, they should be the same.
Do you really need these? Did you save the foam too? I’d only put them in for actual shipping via a common carrier, not just moving the unit yourself.
Probably would come in handy if you ever needed to replace the z-axis belt.
If you don’t have the original or can’t obtain I’d try the following:
I believe the 20 and 23 are length (mm) and not thread pitch. As long as you have an m3 in that length range you should be ok. Try the 23 and see if it goes in all the way but don’t force it. If it resists as you get close to the end stop. Then go shorter (20). 20 may even be long enough even if its 23.
Per the Wiki, I thought I needed the exact screw size to change out the X1C main power switch. Wiki recommends to anchor the bed down so that when the printer is tipped on it’s side, the Z screws are not stressed & everything stays tight. I babied it and really did not disturb anything for the short time it was tipped. It just takes a couple of minutes to tighten up the Z belts and remove two screws to take off the right side panel. Less time to re-install those two screws on assembly. Thanks for the response,
I’d be even less concerned knowing its for a temporary situation vs shipping the printer off. As long as the screw is long enough to have several threads go in you’ll be OK for this situation.
Just make sure there not too long or the bed will still be lose as the bottom of screw head won’t be close enough to the bed to hold it.
If you are still concerned I’d reach out to BL to see if they can send you some of the exact screws or provide the exact size.
I’ll be back later today and believe I have mine in the original box in attic. I’ll measure them and post.
Thx @lkraus I just checked and don’t have mine in the box so I just have pitched them. This should fix @tundra3866cda up!
