X1C with AMS Print issue and under extrusion

Hi All I have an X1C with AMS and about 400hrs on it.

I love this thing ! But started having print issue today.

Not seen this one before and thought someone on here might have.

Thanks

Have you tried printing directly not going via the AMS?

If the same may have a partial clog in your nozzle.

Thanks for the assist !

Update : Two cold pulls fixed this issue.

Can i ask whats a cold pull. Good to see someone with decent hours up. Im only new, have you had to do much to it at all over those hours?

Hello Everybody …
I have the same issue and worked on it for a week now.

  • I removed and cleaned extruder, Filament sensor and hotend
  • i changed filament and a brand new hotend
but unfortunately all the last prints failed. Either the first layer was already faulty, or it prints 100 layers perfectly and then suddenly no more material flows.
I would be grateful for any help

Start your own thread, don’t jump onto other threads unless your issues is precisely the same.

Start a new thread and give a detailed description with pictures. You will want to show and describe HOW the first layer fails and give much more detail on ‘no more material flows’

  • when this happens I have always had a message on the printer (out of filament, extruder stuck, etc), make sure you don’t have tangles in your spool (especially if refill spool). Also, if material isn’t flowing and the printer thinks it is then you are not going to be printing very much longer, you’re gonna have a big wad of filament clogging up your extruder.
