I’ve been having problems with the AMS just keeps trying and trying to load the filament. The pla gets all the way to the extruder and isn’t detected.
I eliminated the AMS and using a single spool and it’s still not detected. I then removed the tubing and tried putting the pla in from the top of the extruder manually. Still no dice. It won’t recognize the filament. I tried different filament no luck. It keeps telling me to feed the filament.
Do I need to change the extruder? Any other suggestions?
Unless it’s not the sensor but the extruder itself that creates this problem. My recommendation would be to purchase both: the sensor and the (hardened) extruder. If it proves to be only one of them, you’ve got yourself a spare part for later. If it’s both, then you’re covered, no more wait involved.
I have kind of the same issue, but with different error message and timing- I tried to submit ticket to tech support, but I cant get the stupid logs to print correctly to submit a ticket with their new requirements .Did the anyone ever figure it out? I too have changed the filament sensor and have a new extruder board on the way in case somethings wrong there. Weird thing is, on my issue it detects the filament when its time to unload, but keeps giving me the “make sure filament is pushed in extruder” message after the filament actually has already loaded and it has gone through the purging old filament process. then the error message shows up and it sends me to restart the loading process which is already complete.
