I have the same issue. Is there a solution allready? Stuck on 1.08.00 after factory reset he says need to update which fails.
This happened a while back too. People with the issue might look for the old threads.
There was a firmware update that came through a year+ ago and quite a few couldn’t get the update to complete.
The culprit was some kind of problem on the main/logic board IIRC. Bambu had to warranty out a bunch of boards and users had to install them before the update could be completed.
Need to be clear, though - I do not know that this update issue is a hardware issue or not.
I was forced to change out both my boards when something shorted out. stuck on firmware 0.0 edition and tried all the steps listed. handy code wont generate and the ssd wont prompt an install even when using the earliest downloadable firmware. cant get the firmware to update through bambu studios either. badly need help and the support takes forever to respond
Our X1C is currently stuck on 01.07.01.00
Bambu Studio (2.8.2.61) connects to the printer.
When I click on the Update it show 01.07.01.00(Latest version)
When I try from the printer, this is not option to update.
Version is too old to update from SD Card
Printer is connected to the cloud.
I do not have, nor do I want to use Handy
Your help is appreciated.

Someone may correct me on this but I believe if you want to flash new or revert firmware, your only choice is Handy.
