X1C Z lead screw loose

I’m 1400 hours in on this KS machine and started getting print failures. It looked like bed adhesion, but discovered that my front right lead screw mount is loose. It’s about 10mm lower than the rest and can lift it up. Belt is still in place and gears are still in place. I think the mount under the unit holding the Z lead screws broke.

Anyone run into this before? Any workarounds till support can send out some parts?

I think you’re in quite a unique situation. Do you have any pictures?
Are you talking about the leadscrew mount in the bottom plate of the printer? Or the top one on the frame?

It’s under the bottom plate. I think there’s a bracket that’s between the bottom plate and the gear under the printer that holds the lead screw and gear to the underside of the printer. I’ve got a video of it. I’ll see about linking it.
It does seem rare. I’ve not seen this issue posted anywhere. I’ll probably pry it open this weekend and see if I can find the pieces to it.

Hello

I’m having the same issue left front z lead screw is moving up and down

My x1c is brand new got it yesterday

Is there a way to fix it ?

Thanks

If it’s brand new, I would work with support and see if they can fix it for you or get it swapped.

You can loosen the two screws on the black gear at the bottom of the printer and push the rod up. Then you can attempt to realign the Z-Axis screws by disconnecting the Z belt. However, they only have a guide on how to level the bed itself, not the Z Axis rods. If the rods are off enough, bed leveling will not fix it completely. Also this will affect the overall travel. Working with support to see if there’s a way to align the three z axis.

I have same issue on right rod. When You push plastic that is attached to upper part of the rod you can fill movement thats is not on other rods. Have you made some progress with support ?
