I recently installed the Public Release of Bambu Studio 1.10. The added “Bind with Access Code” feature is much needed for our company’s plan to overcome networking hurdles with this printer and eventually purchase more X1Es.
However, when we tried to connect our printer (on LAN mode) via this feature, the dialog would seemingly close without actually connecting to the printer. We would fill out the first dialog screen with the IP and Access Code, which successfully proceeds to the second dialog screen where the SN and Model of the printer is requested. After filling in the SN and selecting the model, the dialog says: “Connecting to printer… dialogue will close later”
The issue is, the dialog box would close after a few seconds, and the printer never shows up under “Devices”. I have tried reinstalling Bambu Studio and restarting my computer, but neither seems to help with the issue. Is anyone else experiencing this or has any insight? Thanks.
this is happening to me as well but i have an x1c. i can type in my access code, ip, and sn but when i go to connect the dialog box just disappears without anything happening
I just got the P1S yesterday. Same issue. I tried to do it without lan mode, but it kept telling me that my phone was not on the same network as the printer. It was/is. I don’t have a way to use this except to print stuff from the SD card.
In my case it turned out to be my phone. It doesn’t have any problem connecting but it’s a bit old. Evidently the combination of that and some flaky software on Bambu’s part confused everything. My wife’s phone connected, and then I was able to connect on the same account.
I’m having the same issue. However I’ve had my X1E for about a year using LAN only without issue. It broke with a firmware update. I tried installing previous firmware and that didn’t fix it. Beyond frustrating.
For everyone here using a Github script to spoof the Bambu Discovery message, do NOT update to v2.0 of Bambu Studio. It will not work with the new software, and you will have to downgrade to use the script again.
I am unable to connect 2 X1E’s I have. I have worked through the network rules. Ironically some of the ports that are listed in the documentation like device bind for 3000 I think it was actually turned out to be 3002. When I go to connect. I type in the IP address and the access code. Once that is entered I get to the stage of typing in the serial number and the model type. Once I enter it says " connecting… page will close" it then closes and nothing happens. I believe this to be an issue with the software because when I utilize ORCA slicer i go through the same steps ( Type in IP, Access code>>>Serial number and model number) and then it says connecting and then after the window closes I see my device and it is connected. I was also able to print. Anybody have any idea why Bambu isn’t attaching my printers?
