Good day, all,
I am deeply intrigued by the X1E, a potential companion for my P1S that is currently overloaded with work. Its heated chamber, LAN support, and HEPA filter are particularly fascinating. However, I find myself in need of more comprehensive online information to fully grasp its potential in this industry.
An active heated chamber for a printer of this price is attractive. However, with a heated bed temp of 120ºC, a heated chamber of only 60ºC questions if this is underrated. My P1S reaches chamber temperatures nearing this with a bed temp of only 100ºC, as we know. I wonder if the X1E modulates chamber temperature with the heated build plate instead of a dedicated heater. Of course, a Google search would be the fastest way to answer this. However, this printer exhibits a severe lack of content online. Although I did not extensively search, I could not quickly find a replacement heater to confirm its existence.
LAN support is a bonus, but why was this not included with the X1C? I am not the most well-versed in the 3D printing community; I use mine as a tool rather than a hobby, but I would imagine this to be a standard option.
Although, the HEPA filter is indeed a plus in the X1E’s favour.
Furthermore, I have seen many posts complaining about the lack of support for this product. I understand Bambu’s defence on this. They require customers to go through resellers for acquisition, so it makes sense to use those resellers for support and service agreements. In Canada, printers require CSA compliance. Although Bambu has its own online store selling printers, without this rating, businesses would not appreciate it. Canadian resellers must have their Bambu printers certified before selling them to customers. Perhaps the United States has a similar rating requirement.
Although this ignorant rant about CSA ratings and service agreements may justify support and resellers, it does not explain the other questions. Every mainstream printer has hundreds of videos and other online content, picking over every distinct detail and feature exhaustively, yet the X1E falls short. Unfortunately, I do not understand why. Indeed, this product targets businesses, yet this is not an excuse for most other products, so why the Bambu X1E?
