X1E pieces broken when moving head out of purging

Hi all, brand new in the forum, but have had the X1E since release, without any problems up till now.

I got an issue with the hot end fan after running ASA, it might have happened anyway, but this is not the reason for the post.

When i was about to remove the hot end i moved the buildplate down, then i moved the head straight towards the front from the purging / cleaning position, a bang, and i found some plastic pieces and a screw.

I cant find where this belongs, which also meens that i have no idea of how severe the problem is or what to replace.

Welcome to the forum.

This is one of the screws from the part cooling fan mount. This seems to break off on higher mileage printers. I’ve had it happen on my highest hour count X1C.

Loose Part

Help, broken mystery part turned up in my X1E

This screw and a bit of white plastic tube around it appeared on top of my print bed. The print did finish and without errors. The plastic is round and resembles a bushing however, I cannot locate where it would have come from and continuing to run the machine seems like a dumb idea. X1E PTEG-CF [IMG_7933] [IMG_7932] Any idea what this is from before I got attempting to take it all apart to find it?

What could this be?

I found this laying on my print bed. Anyone know what this is? I thought it was part of the nozzel wiper, but no such luck. [Pic 1] [Pic 2] [Pic 3]

I’ve not had a mount break, but I have developed a crack.

Printing a replacement now, while the printer still works.

And wondering what other parts I should be making…

I tok me some time to actually check the issue, the responses are fully correct, it seems to be a week design and maybe a bad material choice.

In my case it was the top screw, the bang was prabably the screw that had stuck to the magnet and was jamed in between the purge station walls.

Will have to order a new head front part.
