Suppose anyone here has an X1E and has contacted the Babmbu Lab support? Do they have an SLA (Service Level Agreement)? Is the turn-around time quick? Do you get access to a direct support hotline?
I wonder if part of the large price increase between X1C and X1E funds a special support group. That would make sense if a corporation is willing to purchase an X1E(s).
Other than special support, the cost difference and differences between the X1C and X1E are not that many or are expensively complex. In fact, from some observations, it looks like X1E accessories could be added to an existing X1C. A possible FW change may needed, like for the chamber heater.
I know there is always a corporate sales upcharge. Just because an extra thousand here or there is negligible for a Corporation. Support is one of the top three for evaluating a product.
Also, I’m assuming here that maybe Bambu Lab is trying to recoup manufacturing startup fees (molds, PCBs, etc). It’s not like they started with a Kickstarter for the X1E so, unless the industrial sector sales skyrocket, they would be looking a low quantity / high cost margin for ROI and profit.
