Id buy this just for the ethernet port too. All the rest is icing on the cake!
Little off topic, would we still be able to use the Home Assistant interface? And would this new i/o be able to be used in HA? Cause that would open up a lot more cool functionality.

Definitely for the Ethernet & would be interested in the same for P1P/s. I don’t quite care about any of the other stuff… The lack of wired networking always irks me on these machines.

I"m in! Will I still need to be on a very early firmware for the expansion board to function? If I remember, at one point, if the end user upgraded the shipping firmware it was not compatible with the X1Plus. Is this still true?
