Hi everyone,
I have an issue with my X2D regarding the AMS-to-nozzle assignment.
To explain: on the X2D, slots 1–4 are assigned to AMS A (nozzle A) and slots 5–8 to AMS B (nozzle B). In my case this assignment does not work as expected – the slots do not behave according to this logic.
This means I have to figure out every time while slicing which slot actually controls which nozzle, instead of being able to rely on the expected 1–4 / 5–8 split. This makes reliable multi-material printing very difficult.
My setup:
-
Bambu Lab X2D
-
Two older-generation AMS units connected (not the newer AMS 2 Pro)
What I have already tried:
-
Full recalibration of the printer
-
Factory reset and completely fresh setup
My questions:
-
Has anyone else experienced this swapped AMS slot/nozzle assignment on the X2D?
-
Is this a known firmware issue?
-
Is there a setting in Bambu Studio or on the printer to correct the assignment?
Any help appreciated!
