I have some issues after only 2 prints with the Bowden Extruder.
I noticed that the end of the Filament looks like it has been squished:
After disassembling the Bowden Extruder it does look pretty clear:
I’ve heard of some Heat Creep being an issue on their wiki. The Filament I’ve used was very dry (dried it for 12h). Printer is pretty new with just 2 months old and only 2 Prints with the Bowden.
I’ve been told that this can be a tension issue but it doesn’t seem like we can adjust it at all since there is a spring that is fixed.
The Filament in the gear is stuck. What are my options here besides trying to clean it?
Anyone else had this issue?
To me it looks more like grinded, and seems you have a lot of small particle from the filament inside, so maybe worth to open a ticket and check it with Bambu?
There are some issue reported around the forum which needed replacement of the extruder.
Any chance that the nozzle is a bit clogged? And what are the nozzle size and the filament?
The filament is Bambu PLA White.
Nozzle is the 0.4mm that came with the printer. To me it didn’t look clogged. I only printed 2 timed with it though
Maybe you can check also if PTFEs on both ends are seated nice and flat. And if nothing there maybe try to do some prints and try to see what happens. Maybe the retraction is not working well, or the spring is too aggressive.
I would expect if you have heat creep going to the extruder wheels the filament inside the PTFE tube and the nozzle should be very soften also.
Do you see any issues with the print quality? And do you have printed different material in the main nozzle at the same time?
So far no. Just pure PLA. If I print PETG than just on the Main nozzle
