Just encountered a strange bug in mid-print. The print in question is a 3 colour one, red, green and yellow. red and green are on main, yellow on aux.
first 125ish layers printed without errors, but now at each layer, the printer started changing from red to red, with flushings and everything. and an unknown error each time. The thing is, it is still printing parts where just red and yellow are needed, the green comes much later, so it is unnecessarily purging and wasting time with the silly red → red change and purge. highly annoying, especially when it gives me the “unknown error” at each swap, that clears up with the continue just fine.
i’m using the latest printer firmware (non beta), and 2.6.0.51 studio.
it is a model ive printed before too, but as a larger version one at a time. now i have 3 smaller ones on one plate.
edit: checked the camera feed during layer change. after it finished printing with the red, it went over the purge chute and pooped a little, then it went and cut the filament and gave the error. then after hitting continue it went on untill next layer. cancelled print, no time for this sort of nonsense. very odd behaviour.
edit2: rebooted printer, resliced the file .. same issue. downgrading firmware now..
