Hey everyone, just wanted to pick everyone’s brains and see if you can give me some ideas on how to tackle this feed issue I’m having.

The X2D (non-AMS combo) is my first Bambu (coming from a K1 Max) and so far it’s been pretty dope. Only thing is that trying to print earlier I keep getting the “external left filament spool or filament is stuck error”. I checked the PTFE tubes when I first got the error last night and everything seemed fine. Nothing felt damaged or looked damaged, no broken or brittle pieces (new spool of SUNLU Wood PLA), nothing that I immediately noticed. I have the PLA in a Polybox filament drier and it was feeding fine after clearing the error so I’m a little stumped.

After doing some reading online I was seeing some people were having AMS feeding issues that seems to be caused by the set PTFE tube path from factory and or the buffer. Would this still be something that I should look out for without the AMS? And is the buffer completely necessary? I’m unfortunately at work at the moment of typing this, so this is the only information I could provide but I do want some ideas so I at least know where to start when I get home.

I appreciate any and all insight, thank you in advance and happy printing!

I think that there a few threads on the issue you might want to look at.

My take is that the feeding system is not as robust as the X1C has been for me. This may be some physical routing issues of tubing or firmware issues or a combination of those and other hardware issues.

PLA and PCTG have been okay, but any engineering filaments with carbon fiber have been no go so far.
