X2D WiFi Connection Problems: Solutions?

I am kind of very sure :innocent: .

Yes it supports 2.4 and 5. So far did not tested in on 5 but it was very unstable after the first FW and after latest it is better. BUT I would prefer any day to have cable connection!

Same problyem here in Belgium, a new antenna has been sent, the software has been updated to the Iast available (something like 1.2.00).

Now Wi-fi is slightly better but was the antenna or the new sofware that gave me better results ? I don’t know !

Anyway, I would say that this is far than perfect, even far than good, because now, it’s still disconnecting, after 15, 21 or 30 minutes (before this was disconnecting after 3, 5, 6 minutes)

Any suggestions welcome !

As your A1 and A1 Mini work fine from the same location, then check the X2D itself rather than the Wi-Fi network. You have already tried the usual stuff, factory reset, firmware update, static IP and different bands. If possible, try a phone hotspot for a while. If the X2D still drops there, that would strongly point to the printer’s Wi-Fi hardware or firmware. Otherwise, look at router settings like band steering, WPA mode and 2.4 GHz channel selection.

If or as your A1 and A1 Mini work fine in the same location, it doesn’t sound like your Wi-Fi network is the problem. The fact that only the X2D keeps dropping suggests it could be a firmware or hardware issue specific to that printer. try temporarily disabling features like band steering or mesh roaming if you’re using them, and make sure the printer is connected to a dedicated 2.4 GHz SSID for testing. If the problem persists after a factory reset and firmware update, open a support ticket with Bambu Lab it doesn’t sound like normal behavior.

Mine was stable for some months but in the last weeks I can see it start to show wifi connection issues. One time I was able to run some test from the LCD screen like ping to the router and internet. It failed first time, then second after that it restored the link and was fine after that. Rerun the tests and this time they are fine. Go figure. Again it is very close to the router and I have it in separate ssid made for some IP smart stuff which do not support WPA3. So it is in very simple network.
