I was just about to order replacement belts to have a spare, and noticed the length is not 1444mm anymore, but instead 1442mm. My replacement belt I just used was purchased in April and was still 1444mm in length.
This would make the belt tighter compared to the original. As many of us had to add some preload on the belt to get better prints (or to workaround squaring issues), it would be good for Bambu to let us know the rationale behind this, the proper way to tighten the belts now, and whether anything else needs to be retrofitted for the printer to work like BL intended - are the tensioners or their springs also different now?
Btw the tensioning procedure I received as part of some troubleshooting from support puts emphasis on having both sides of the rods pressed to the back, while the Wiki instructions don’t, so I think you should create a new video and instructions for Wiki.
Could @BambuLab please update us on this and possibly create some sort of Changelog for those updates? (I just noticed there are two laser variants requiring different TH boards as well, so what else has changed?)
I realise it could prompt some users to just start asking for improved parts for no good reason, but more transparency would be good, IMO.
