No worries glad to help if I can. I have a couple of my simple but useful models on makersworld with these profiles attached tuned to each mostly PETG.
I prefer Sunlu or eSun PLA+ grey in both cases
I just tried eSUN silk metallic Bronze and oh my, it is beautiful! It printed like a dream with āGeneric Silk PLAā settings and it is quickly becoming one of my favorite filaments for making my lightsabers!
I need to try some of eSUNās other silk metallic colors to see if they are as nice as this one!
Iām going to have to add Esun PETG clear and Sunlu ABS in green to mine, been working with them this weekend and after calibration they produce some lovely prints with nice details.
Here they are next to my current favourite filament, Esun PETG solid white.
My favorite filaments.
White Overture PLA professional. Simply the best PLA on the consumer market. Always prints without issue. Always looks nice. I buy it in bulk.
PolyTerra marble brick. It is a wonderful burnt orange color.
CC3D PLA+ grass green, yellow. Strong and durable with a subtle translucency.
Matte PLA either PolyTerra or Bambu Lab. Aesthetically, I love using matte PLA. It looks good although it tends to be a bit on the weak side.
SUNLU transparent PLA. I was disappointed with transparent filaments until I discovered SUNLU. It prints really cleanly and is clearer than PETG.
Bambu Silk PLA silver. Nice shiny silver, unlike other silvers which tend to be on the dull side. I havenāt used the gold yet but it looks like it might be as good and shiny as the silver.
Bambu Lab Galaxy and Sparkle. I like the way these filaments can liven up a print.
I second this one! I found this works best for my lightsabers when I use a pen light in them. It is just gorgeous!
I did something very similar a few weeks ago, instead of making the ball all the way to the top I put a small flat on it , looks a lot nicer
I may have to change my answer. The new PETG-HF is very nice when dry. Layer lines are less noticable (orange is my reference) and it prints like PLA. Iāve been printing it in Sport mode for some storage trays and no issues.
You just have to dry it.
