Z-Axis Cleaning and Lubrication

It is time to clean my Z-Axis lead screws and am curious as to peoples opinion on the types of 3d printable tools.
Does anyone use contact cleaner to wash the screws? That is what I am leaning towards right now.
Does everyone stick with the Bambu Labs branded grease and has anyone tried a dry lube. I’ve used dry lubes on my bicycle chains and shifters for years with no adverse effects.

Clean it using Gear Floss & lube it with sewing machine oil…JMO

Washing screws and guides is painful. Just lubricate them, all sh1t will be displaced by the grease and oil. Also you can check out Official guide and there is recommended alternatives

I Googled Gear Floss as I had never heard of it. I used to use same brand, Finish Line, as my dry lube go to.

Definitely better than pulling off the back cover. Thanks for the tip. :+1:

An amazing gear grease in general is SuperLube PTFE, this tub here will last a lifetime of household applications… unless you are an airsoft repair/upgrade shop!

It works for virtually anything and it doesn’t cause too much swell/permeation of softer rubbers and seals like Molykote55 does… but its food safe, amazing for gears, not too thick and not too light.
