Greetings,
I have a new Carbon X1 in my lab at work. The test prints came out beautifully, as well as a few other prints with files of different origins. However, an issue has developed with certain prints, where the Z-axis does not adjust its height for each new print layer that is extruded. Over time it does move, but only after several layers worth of material have been extruded at the same Z-axis position. I first noticed this issue when a completed print came out at roughly half of its intended height.
I attempted another print and watched it closely and confirmed this is what was happening. The nozzle just runs through the previous layer, instead of building upon it. I have printed the same part on two other printers using their respective slicers without any issues. Since I’m new to Bambu Labs products, I’m not sure if this is a file issue of some sort, or if there is a setting in the Bambu slicer that is causing this to happen.
There is another issue that may or may not be related, so I will mention it while I’m here. During the pre-print warmup sequence, the print head will crash into the front two corners of the box on either side of the glass door. On one side, it actually hits the glass door head on. On the other side, it runs into the side of the box and knocks the print head front cover off. The calibration runs fine, so I’m not sure what this is about or why it’s even physically possible for this to happen.
Has anyone experienced these problems and determined a solution?
Thanks in advance!
