I have been doing a lot of research, and have not been able to definitively find an answer to what I feel should be a simple question. I know that there is a command in the g-code in the printer that adjusts this based on the plate type. That command is, by default for the Textured PEI plate:
G29.1 Z{-0.04}
Here is my question. My understanding of this is that a positive (+) number inside the brackets moves the nozzle further away from the print bed, a negative (-) number inside the brackets moves the nozzle closer to the print bed, and the numerical value is in mm (in this case, 0.04mm).
Do I have this correct, or do I have the +/- backwards? Of course, I’m looking into this so that I can make the adjustment for PETG which, from what I understand, prefers to be laid down instead of squished down.
Thank you in advance to this great community!
