Thank you for your dedication, I guess.
You seem oddly invested in a thread you apparently find so pointless.
Someone actually asked for updates, and I’m happy to provide them. This thread isn’t about convincing you of anything, nor do I need you to agree with my choices.
You’re entitled to your opinion, just as I’m entitled to document my experience until the case is resolved.
If you find the updates unnecessary, you’re always free to stop following the thread. It’s really that simple
That’s what happens on the public forum.
I am quite free to comment however I want, considering all necessary guidelines of this place. I’m just mocking that your shipping updates are whacky a bit, as they provide no benefit to the conversation. You can like or dislike it.
I also have an idea. You can also post an update with every support response or update from the shipping carrier. I think someone would definitely appreciate it.
Hopefully you like this valuable addition to this glorious post ![]()
Well, that’s the warm and welcoming world of the internet.
You’re free to comment as much as you like, I never said otherwise. But it’s pretty clear by now that you’re not here for the X2D, P1S or any printer discussion.
You wanted attention, and I’ve given you my share. Hope you’re satisfied. Cheers!
i was actually considering an X2D so I am interested in shipping dates and any other info that helps me make an informed decision. Thank you TodoLigado for not abandoning this thread.
Just curious, are you interested in delivery times when buying a new X2D, or more specifically in how long the warranty repair/replacement process takes?
One thing I’d point out before buying: the X2D is a much more complex machine to repair than the A1 or A1 mini. Having taken mine apart several times, I can tell you there are plenty of tiny, delicate connectors, ribbon cables and additional boards. Working on it sometimes feels more like repairing a smartphone than a 3D printer.
Not necessarily a reason to avoid it, but definitely something worth knowing before buying.
I’m interested in your case because before I invest about $1,000 in another Bambu printer, I want to know how well they treat folks that are having product quality issues. I have also been looking at the SnapMaker U1.
I only have an A1 mini with no AMS right now but I use it a lot so I kinda wanted to upgrade to something bigger with an enclosed AMS/dryer so I can print 2 or 3 colours and maybe some ABS too. I do use TPU about 20% of the time so that’s a concern too. I’m interested in the multi-heads because I feel like it wastes too much filament as it is with single color and multi-head would cut down on colour change waste. I would also like the option to do some PLA/TPU combo prints where part of it is rigid and part flexible.
Mine X2D has over 1000 hours. Regular maintenance is important. Only breakdown was the left filament sensor. Also running H2C, H2S and P2S. No real problems so far.
So.. I’ve been going through this scenario for a couple of months now. Not only with my X2D but with the P2S as well. The P is only just a little over 1 year old, and the X is still less than a month old. And we’ve had to replace so many parts on both. We’re talking days and days, 8 hours of troubleshooting the print, the ams, the heads, the ..EVERYTHING. IMO no one should ever have to replace a 3d printer a year after purchase unless it was used 24/7 and burned to the ground. But the truth is, these machines were not made for residential use. We as the consumer do NOT know there is no live body. No 800 number we can call, nothing. Now I know why people purchase their printer from best buy, because even best buy won’t fix them-they just give you a new one. After going down the ugly rabbit hole-and tweaking every single ****ing thing we could for both printers-both of them are again finally working. It’s like picking numbers for the lottery. At some point you will win. But we also determined after many reads that sadly, bambu is the best for the types of prints we want and for how much we design.
Am I sick of fixing this f’ing thing? yep. Am I chuffed when it’s working perfectly and I dont have the melt printhead thanos insta death? yep. so yes, I think we would buy a new one. It’s a painful learning curve.
