This might be considered entirely self-serving but I have another entry to add.

If I can’t win fairly, I should be able to win by prohibiting everyone else, right?

Haha nah I’ll add another for “Not by Zammer3D” too
Dang, yeah that should be added as well

Fab365 models with the watermark removed, chess pieces stolen from another creator on makerworld and much more… how did this guy got to 4k downloads?
Amazing…
Edit: forgot to add that the chess pieces that were already a remix before being uploaded by him, are in the contest.
I have repeatedly reported this account for breaking many different rules.
Many of his models have been removed because of it.
Each time they finally agree to remove one, he puts more up. He constantly uses renders for many of his models, never a print. For some reason, MW thinks those obvious fake-looking renders are real photos!
He needs to be banned.
@MakerWorld any insight on why this person continuously breaks rules and gets away with it?
I remember seeing some people bragging about copying files from thingiverse and posting them to makerworld just so they can get a ton of gift cards and then get a printer for basically free. They’re doing it to game the points system.
Look at the discussion in his models. First he claimed he had a Fab365 license. Then later the modeler is already a close friend to him. Later on he says that those are not renders (i work with renders lol)… @MakerWorld should ban people like him, and since it’s not the first time, it would been the right thing to do.
I only get mad because this guy got 4k downloads already and even having models taken down, he still persists… This is theft. Today is a model from Fab365, tomorrow can be one of mine or yours.
In what world is the image for the chess pieces a render?
Ik I post a lot of rendered images as it saves me time and money, but i still do it so that everyone can download my files and enjoy printing them, nothing wrong with sharing. People want a file without that loud ‘fab365’ watermark. I approach a friend and make it available without a watermark.
As for who I am
linkedin - tanishqchawla (technical game designer)
I take out my time from my job and take away time from my family, just to give time to my hobby, and all I get is hate.
Yes, I am persistent, I will keep uploading.
Why’s there so much hate in the 3d printing community now, it used to be all about sharing. Back when we had to share slicer settings and profiles. 3mf didn’t exist back then.
Just sad how you all are reacting.
Admitting to being a thief and breaking the rules. Nice.
There is when the model you’re sharing is stolen and taking money out of the pocket of the designer who worked hard to make it.
Like I said, many of his models.
I didn’t accuse your theft of the chess model being a render.
It is an interesting way of defending yourself against being too lazy to print your work as the rules require by admitting to a crime!!!
Because bad people do bad things, profit from it and wonder why other people hate them.
SHARING is allowed when the owner expressly permits it. Stealing is not sharing, it is stealing.
Removing the embedded watermark from someone else model is theft of IP.
You are what is wrong with 3D printing, not decent honest, hard-working people who put their time into their designs.
Disgusting and dishonest behaviour.
Changing everytime. First you had a license, then the modeler was already a close friend, those were not renders (unless you edited your comment, it’s there in response to what i said) and now you are saying that you actually do renders. Do you know what rules are? You talk community and you are the first one to dispise it. Those chess pieces, for example, should be marked as a remix, since they came from another already made remix (look in comments). I am in the 3D printing community since late 2009 and yes, it’s all ruined thanks to people like you that think it’s ok to profit on other peoples work or copy paste a model without anything in between.
Sharing is caring, i always said. Sharing paid work and going to the point of even modify it without attributing it and posting it “just because users want…” is theft.
yes you are persistent. That is what happens when people don’t get punished. Instead they know that they can do harm, and they do it again and again, without remorses. That is you now!
You could be Santa, it would still be theft! And that is wrong. Makerworld should be more aware of people like you.
I rest my case because you said it… you will keep uploading and there is nothing that anyone here can do except wait…
Have a good one
Wow! I’ll say this clearly again, posting renders isn’t theft, chess pieces picture is real, the fab365 model’s designer is a colleague of mine and he is completely okay with me using his work for the community, most of my posts are renders but not all of them, hope it’s clear now.
What is clear is you can’t read, another of your inabilities.
Posting renders is a clear breach of the requirement for the model to upload photo evidence that you have successfully managed to print a model.
Posting renders is a clear breach of the requirement for the print profile to upload photo evidence that you have successfully managed to print a model using a BL printer.
As to your ever-changing explanation of your chess heist, if the fab365 owner is known to you, why haven’t they uploaded the model, and provided proof that you are now the owner or that they are happy to have their logo removed?
Why didn’t they remove the logo?
The problem with always acting dodgy, always changing your excuses and never following all the rules the community does is that you are treated exactly as you treat the honest community.
An honest and decent person wouldn’t need to remove the logo if this person truly is your friend and colleague. You would honour their work.
With disdain.
This reminds me, I’ve gotta respond to that prince in Nigeria. He really needs my help, you guys. He’s gonna reward me big too. Don’t worry ya’ll, I’m gonna buy you all new 3d printers when that money finally comes through.
i dont care enough about having real pictures and it doesn’t really even matter anyways, people get to use my files, as for the fab365 designer, designers like him and myself don’t have a lot of time outside of work, but ofc you wouldn’t know that, he doesn’t really upload his work anywhere, except for selling it at fab365, imagine our conversation going like- Me: can I put your car models out for everyone without the hideous logo?. Him: Yeah, no problem, they’re old af anyways. Me: Ok cool. you should quit this topic. I am still going to upload models, I am still having fun.
I don’t see any crime here, just not following a small little guideline.
Fab365 is a BUSINESS not a person and is in South Korea.
FAB365 is a company that hosts the files you have been passing off as your own after removing their branding.
A company is not a person!!!
Just one of the very many examples of copyright theft and modifications of the model to hide that fact.
No commercial licences are granted and the original designer GOODesign, also based in South Korea.
Theft is a crime, theft of copyright is a crime, obscuring original ownership of stolen IP is a crime.
The one that requires you to print your models, isn’t a guideline, it is a requirement.
It is something you have to agree you have provided when you upload the MODEL and the PROFILE.
In reality
You: I am going to steal commercial IP from a company and pass it off as my own.
Him: …
He can’t speak as ‘he’ is a business!
In my example above, the actual designer of the model is GOODesign.
Weirdly, not a person, yet another company!!!.
you dont want the files? cool, move on with your life. i don’t have the time or energy to explain myself to some random guy who likes to hate anyone who doesn’t have all their copyright certificates at hand.
