Probably shares the same toolhead as H2S + A1 touch screen, simplify the production cost and in a volume 260x260x300? A taller version? 
I have every models of Bambu… I am running out of room!

Yeah I suspect same build volume, honestly just about the same chassis but updating to the H series print head/nozzle and like you said the A series screen to phase out old tech without increasing production costs by matching components use in other machines. Honestly I’d love to have a P1S even with just a better screen since I’ve replaced mine with X Touch (which is a dead project now). Hopefully the price can stay pretty close to where the P1S is though.

My guess is there might be “hardware limitations” the same way there was no upgrade path to put the X1 screen on it

I agree (and I don’t want to get my hopes up and then be disappointed) but its an interesting choice to have the teaser image feature the P1S screen like that

I dunno, I think one of the biggest complaints about the P1S was the crappy screen. This ad seems to indicate thats one of the main features to be updated for the P2S. I’m putting all my hopes in to that basket lol

Oh I agree, an updated screen is almost certain for the P2S. The big question is whether or not they’ll be an option/upgrade kit for your existing P1S. I’d love that as someone who bought a P1S in the last couple of months…!

I have it confirmed that it will be the first Bambu Lab printer that can print chocolate.
This was their modified A1 used for prototyping the technology.

Love my P1S. Hate the display. Given Bambu bricked the BT 3rd party display, hoping the P2S display is better and an option is offered to retrofit to the P1S. By that image, doesn’t look like much as changed tho.

I imagine they thought they would cannibalise their X series sales.
They forgot people don’t buy the X series for the screen.
They left a lot of money on the table by not offering the upgrade.
I barely use the screen on my four P series printers, but would have upgraded each.

I hope BBL upgrades the screen and camera. I guess they will change the hotend
and get rid of the carbon rods.Guess the size will remain. Even I think 300x300x300mm size
would be nice. But there has to be a price gap and separate the product lines.
Let’s see what they offer, maybe I will order a P2 instead the H2S. I do not expect
an active heater inside.

I suspect (other than the chocolate printing), much will remain the same.
This is about market positioning and not cannibalising the market when it does count.
Hopeful tweaks:
- Screen
- Nozzle replacement for A1 style
Less likely tweaks
- Camera
- Carbon rods
Unlikely tweaks
- Build volume
I see them wishing to keep the P series where it is. With build volume changes they change that and it will cause issues with their X series. They could upgrade that, but it would mean the stepping stones between the new P and the H series gets smaller if the X is in the middle.
Any good business wants you to start st the bottom and end up buying the top, but if you can’t afford it, find somewhere on the journey to land on.
By not confusing the journey it remains simple and obvious stops for each type of purchaser.
The issue that they will have is the popularity of the snapmaker u1, they have nothing to compete with that, just a much higher cost and unreleased H2C.

If it was me, I would consider sending it back right now unopened and take the hit on return shipping costs.
Even of the P2S is little more than a tweak I would much prefer it.
If the P2S is not worth it, grab the P1S again, assuming they have remaining stock.
