I also expected to get a successor of the X1C presented, It will be interesting to see how they differentiate the product lines from each other. Also price wise.
As the H2S took the price range from the X1C they need to create two ranges.
Guess the X2C won*t sell above 1100€ and the P2S below 800€, both combos.
There exists damn cheap competition out there now, which is different from 3 years ago, when BBL sold their first products. But maybe they will surprise the customers with different size variants and new unseen solutions.
Maybe they skip the X2-products.
Creality also covers with their K2 models everything between 260mm³ up to 350mm³.
I, too, love my P1S printer and the screen doesn’t phase me one bit as I very rarely need to do something on the screen - almost all of my P1S activity is from within Bambo Studio. Unless this new P series printer has a LOT of new features I want, I will not even consider upgrading as long as my P1S is working as well as it is. “If it ain’t broke…”
That’s good, I was panicking as I thought I wouldn’t get it in time. Made me worry when the price went down.
My theory is that the P2S is going to be a “bare bones” version of a future X2. The P will have a basic chamber with a simple screen like the A series and a quick swap nozzle. Might even reuse parts from the current system. The X2 will possibly use parts from the current H series and might even have different variants like the X2D and possibly X2C. It will be pretty obvious that the print size will be the same. The gantry system will be upgraded to linear rails like the H and A series. What I want though is an upgraded networking system that uses the 5ghz Wi-Fi band on Wi-Fi 7. I doubt that will happen, but it is nice to wish.
In all honesty, I don’t recommend buying the P or X series printers, Especially the P. The P series printer is yesteryears tech and it is paling compared to other companies. I am ordering a Prusa Core One right now because of the long term upgradability and support. Edit: Also with all of the printers BBL is dropping it is making it hard if I should wait or buy.
These are not Bambu Lab’s competition. Bambu Lab sells to the masses who want to just click and print. This is a different market from that of the other companies whose target users came from older machines and don’t mind having to work on the printers every so often to fix printing problems.
The industry needs a competitor to Bambu Lab. It will be another company that is also built from the ground up with the goal to sell to the same mass market. So far none shows up yet. But I wouldn’t rule out one or even two are quietly working on it.
Lol, it was a meant to be a self own… I have 3 of almost every Panda product they’ve put out, and enough Revo nozzles to make a grown man cry.
I bought my P1S last spring and still only have 750 hours on it. I’m quite satisfied with it, but here’s my shortlist of what could definitely be improved:
- Quick swappable nozzles
- Larger bed - at least 325mm cubed
- Better lighting
- Better ventilation (and get rid of the problematic aux fan altogether)
- A heated chamber for more advanced filaments (but, not if it raises price a lot)
- A modern screen would be nice, but not necessary (seldom use printer’s screen)
Possible

Highly unlikely

I say this due to its position in their lineup.
Yes, the P1S is the poor man’s X1C, so significant upgrades to it might further erode the X1C’s position in the line-up. I don’t do much 3D printing these days, but I’d probably buy the H2S for my mostly 1 or 2 color printing (but sometimes, I print something bigger than the P1S can handle).
Not a phrase I would use.
It doesn’t have a couple of things many don’t require. The X series has been overpriced for a while.
I completely agree. I looked at buying an X1C and bought the P1S for substantially less. It has proved to be a solid printer for me. Yes, I am a relatively poor man (or just frugal, I guess). Cheers.
I hope there will be a touch screen upgrade for the P1S
Yea, if this upgrade/refresh seems worth it (mainly if the screen is better and they use the better rails from the H series) then I’ll post mine for sale, I’m in FL, and I think the market here is ok for the most part.
