A New Chapter for a Classic — The Evolution Begins

Yeah… After implying that they can stop us using our printers in “future firmware updates”, I’m not rushing to sell my P1S and buy a next gen machine.

The response I had from Bambu:

Thank you very much for your interest in our products, and we fully understand your concern about the product lifecycle amid the upcoming launch of a new model.

Regarding the core question you are concerned about, we have not received any official notification that the P1S printer will be discontinued anytime soon.

Based on the conventional product iteration logic in the industry and our product operation strategy, even after the official launch of the P2S, the P1S will remain available for normal sale for a certain period.

On one hand, there are differentiated demands in the mid-range consumer market, and the classic design and performance of the P1S can still meet the needs of many users.

On the other hand, the “parallel availability of old and new models” strategy is usually adopted in the early stage of a new product launch to ensure that users with different budgets and usage scenarios can find a suitable product

Possible upgrade from P1S to P2S will be nice to have

Two words, pom wheels. There isn’t one Bambu printer with pom wheels. It’s 2025 guys, come on. If the P2S doesn’t have pom wheels I’ll be so mad I’ll buy it out of spite!

Does that mean P1S owners get dumped?

Taking H2S, removing the screen screen, congrats P2S.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Those hardware limitations could be overcome with a main board upgrade. I’m the end it’s all about processing power…

You are brand new here, yet you are telling people what should and should not be.

Calm down, take a breath and enjoy the place before you start telling others what they can and can’t do.

It will have a modern display, and that is pretty much a given.

Personally, what I want to see upgraded from P1S is:

Higher nozzle temp
Higher and better bed temperature
Chamber heater, and chamber temp regulation
Automatic ventilation
Easily changeable nozzles, like on A-series and H-Series

This will be available only in the US? THanks

If you mean the upcoming P2S only being sold in the US, they would have to be stupid to do that.

I was getting ready for what looked like some juicy forum action, and then…

Wait… so we’re getting upset about a joke…?

Wait wait wait… this isn’t an appropriate space to make jokes?

Well chutes and ladders, I’m in trouble.

Anyway though, Malc does bring up a good point. Mark really needs to get his calendars in order. Everyone is always yelling at him about it, but apparently nothing is ever being done.

Nope, being rude is a positive thing.

I see we are getting into the wild and speculative dream wishlist again. Is the pancake maker back in play yet?

No, all serious feature expectations.

I fully support linear rails because it has a much smaller profile and is much more stable. Linear rails also are infinitely easier to maintain and clean and harder to break. And also apparently you don’t understand jokes.
