Otherwise known as a stealth-remix,
Some of my designs are a Modular system rather than a specific model, so I provide an example as a profile but itâs up to the user to decide on what parts to use
I had an awesome person make a different example to mine, upload a new profile stating what theirs offers, and credit me the points
It was great, they saw some potential and offered a solution that benefits the end user.
Honestly if it defaulted to the creator but I had the option to âboostâ them in a way as a thanks for a good profile, Iâd do it
less invasive: perhaps just hide community print profiles behind a âclick here for community profilesâ widget?
maybe make the community shared profiles visible by default only if the designerâs profiles are poorly rated or non-existant?
Iâm quite certain that if poor rating unhid the 3rd party profiles in your suggestion, users would try review-bombing designerâs profile(s) to have theirs visible⌠Other than that not a bad suggestion IMHO.
TIL: Thereâs a cool feature - the designer can recommend a profile they deem âgoodâ or âworthyâ addition or something like that:
From the modelâs edit menu!
Would be also good to to have âNOT RECOMMENDâ button there, but maybe donât show that openly, just sort such ânot recommendedâ profile below others?
