Hello everyone,
We recently set up a new Bambu Lab A1 Combo and we are having an issue with filament loading from the AMS Lite.
Here is what happens:
We slice the model normally in Bambu Studio.
We select the filaments and send the print to the printer.
Sometimes the filament travels through the PTFE tubes and reaches the nozzle area, but then the AMS motor moves the filament forward and backward 1-2 times and gives an error.
Other times, the error happens before the filament even reaches the nozzle.
The printer is brand new.
The filament path looks correct and the tubes seem properly connected.It feels like the printer cannot properly complete the filament feeding/loading process.
Has anyone experienced something similar with the A1 Combo AMS system?
Could this be related to:
AMS Lite motor issue?
Extruder grip/tension?
PTFE tube resistance?
Filament sensor?
Incorrect AMS setup?
Firmware or calibration issue?
Any advice or troubleshooting suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

I also want to add one more detail:
The machine actually completed one successful print before this issue started happening.
So the AMS Lite was able to feed filament correctly at least once.
Now the problem happens inconsistently:
Sometimes the filament reaches the nozzle area and then moves back and forth before failing.
Sometimes it fails before reaching the nozzle.
That is why I am confused whether this is a PTFE setup issue, an extruder problem, or possibly a sensor/motor issue.
Unable to feed filament into the extruder. This could be due to tangled filament or a stuck spool. If not, please check if the AMS PTFE tube is connected.
