my new A1 Mini AMS can barely load filament. 4 is loading but not able to feed into extruder, feeds and then it clicks… 1, 2 and 3 load but feeds filament only a few cm into the tube and then it clicks… When i try to load to nozzle it gives a filament error…
Contacted Bambu 4 days ago - no reaction. pretty normal
Its normal that the first push after pushing filament into the feeder is only a few cm.
But obviously, it should feed all the way when you start the print. I noticed that you are not using the original PTFE tubes, right? Any chance you can try with the original once?
I had the same issue on my A1. You wouldn’t be using Matte Filament by chance, would you? And the AMS top mount? I was and found that #4 would not load Matte, but would load everything else. The matte has more friction and the motors couldn’t load it once it was deep into the Bowden tube. even if I manually loaded it in.
All other materials have so far worked, and matte loaded fine on all other payoffs. Then I noticed that the #4 has a sharper curve to it bending down to the machine.
Then I noticed I had the printed tube braces that come with the AMS top mount kit, reversed. The long ones should be in front, the short ones in back. This has fixed that issue for me.
So check your tubes, look for sharp curves, and if you can move your AMS around and relive that bend, you may have better results.
