A1 Recall ……

I went for the new bed and compensation - seems a fair response - looking forward to getting it

Is bambu offering anything for all the nozzles and silicone socks? I exchanged for a P1S but have a1 nozzles I ordered.

Same in italy. No label, no answer, no sign of life

From the info provided by Bambu when they provided the mailing label

“Furthermore, please be aware that Bambu Lab filaments, hardware kits, and swatches are non-refundable. If you plan to use the A1 printer in the future, we recommend keeping all A1 accessories for future use. However, if you have decided not to use the A1 printer and insist on returning the accessories, please provide us with a detailed list and pictures of the items for inspection purposes.”

So, I’m guessing that’s a “no”.

So for me - No label, no answer, no sign of life for weeks. And my A1 has damaged(melted isolation) HB cable. I was satisfied with this printer, so I wote for getting new HB. But when I´ll got it? Have try to change HB cable for more robust one - and got damaged isolation after few prints. So problem must be in HB itsel. But my brothers A1 works perfect, and we ordered them on the same date, only few hours difference. My bad luck.

I received the DPD label, now I discover that DPD in Italy does not accept assigned port so I am required to pay for the shipment by the courier, I wrote to customer support and I await a response.

I am in the US and I have not heard or seen anything about the replacement bed being shipped.
Is there any way to tell if anything has been done yet?

Replacement beds are in production and are being shipped to warehouses now. Im guessing they will start to be sent to us in a week or so, but they haven’t giving an exact date yet.

its the end of march. I sure hope we all get our heat beds soon…

Bambu sent this update using their twitter account. Its a good update in that it doesn’t keep us in the dark. I do wish they send such an information update to our individual support tickets or via the official bambu blog, because I don’t have twitter so I only learned of this when someone else forwarded it to me. Still, its a good information update on their progress and expectation.

has anyone received the compensation when opting for the replacement bed? I thought there was going to be a $120 compensation for shutting down the machine?

I’m still waiting for any type of response from the company. I have attempted several times to contact them and nothing. I opted to keep the machine however I thought they were offering compensation - I would like to get another P1S but with no response from Bambu…

I guess if you have a twitter account you can get some information however I thought they were offering compensation to those who opted for the bed replacement - has anyone heard an update on the compensation? Or is it just more crickets…

This is from their site. As per your preference, we will be supplying you with a revised heatbed and a $120 discount code.We expect the revised heatbed to be dispatched to you by the end of March. Once shipped, the tracking number will be provided through this ticket. The discount code will be sent directly to you shortly after the heatbed is dispatched.

I am pleased that BL have handled this well, but when i read “shipped by the end of March”, the expectation that sets is that “we” should have shipping notifications in March for these beds to be sent to us. I think they are classing it as they have ship the beds to their distributors in March.
I just want to get back printing again

April 1 and no heat bed. Is this a Bmabu Lab april fools joke? How about a progress report. These were scheduled to ship by the end of March and according to an X post the heat beds were to be flow to wearhouses ON SCHEDULE. We’ve been waiting.

Honestly, end March was never a realistic timeline. I was prepared to be pleasantly surprised, but this is well within what I expected for a recall and replacement of this scale. I would rather the replacement be a robust piece than some rushed out job. But I would prefer that BL disburse the discount vouchers NOW, so we can maybe look get another printer like the A1 mini or P1 in the mean time

Sure, I think we all sort of felt this way. HOWEVER, that does not excuse bambu from just communicating to us new estimated ETA’s or atleast saying “hey guys we’re not going to meet the end of march”. instead they just kept doubling down in every message that it will be the end of march.

Yea your experience is very relatable over the las 4 years of so ive been in 3D printing 3 of those years are using the ender 3 v2 and i too also experience electricak shocks due to bad earthing. But this new printer really is quite the game changer not only for those who is in the 3D printing industry but also for newcomers who doesnt have to learn the steep learning curve from the old ages of 3D printing
