Welcome to the forum.
Which printer are you using this AMS with? Anything other than the H2D will require an external power supply.
I have the X1c with AMS 2 pro I have the external power supply.
I would check to see that the power supply is working correctly.
how to check this
I can’t find any way to check this.
Get in touch with support and supply them with a log file , especially if it doesnt give an error or hms code
I have the same problem using AMS2 pro with H2D. After the initial setup (first try) heating was functional. Now I’m getting the described error.
Opened a ticket last week, problem is still not resolved, reaction of technical support is quite slow.
I’m on FW (AMS) 02.00.19.47. Which FW does your unit have?
Additional information: HMS 0700-8000-0001-0001
i have the versio 2.00.19.68
let me know if he finds anything
Earlier today support asked me to open the unit and check some connectors on the main PCB of the AMS (connectors of heater 1 in my case). I have found no problems there.
Now I have opened the unit again, because I thought it could be worth to measure the electrical resistance of the two heating elements.
Left heating element (suspected as faulty): 31,78 Ω
Right heating element (this should be good): 11,2 Ω
This is quite a big difference, additionally in case of the left heater if I apply a small force with my fingers to the heatsink of the heating element the resistance value will fluctuate. Based on my experience this could be a symptom of a faulty heating element. As I saw, the heatsink in question is pressed onto the heater itself during production, maybe this could lead in some cases to a broken part (e.g. too much force).
