I have a big problem with AMS. It disconnects every time after a few seconds and the only way to reconnect it is to pull and plug the 4-pin cable on the printer’s side. One of these pins seemst a little bit longer to me than the other’s. What should I do?
Sorry btw, but I didn’t found a button to create a new topic
I just looked for the cable, but it is fine (voltages etc). I tried to reproduce the issue and it only appears immediately after loading a filament into the AMS. Any ideas?
Define disconnects. What is exactly happening
When the printer is turned on, all 4 slots of AMS are blinking one after each other. This is stable for many hours (I checked it over night). If I put a filament into one of the filamenthoppers, it gets pulled in a few centimeters an then all 4 LEDs turn off immediatly without getting red or changing color/mode. The printer’s display shows a few seconds later “AMS offline”.
I know you don’t want to hear this, but that’s new to me.
If you feel adventurous you can look at the power board just behind where the filament goes into the AMS. Make sure those plugs are seated, there are two.
Under the filament spool tray is the board and a handful of cables. If the board was going then I can see what your experiencing happen, but a single loose cable I don’t know.
Since the cable you have tested out, then it’s getting power. Just gotta figure out why it’s losing it. I gotta think on that.
Your best bet would be to put in a ticket. Cause I aint that smart.
I’m already in contact with support. They sent me a few measurements, but these also didn’t work out.
I will hear what they say and probably send it back
